The weather forecast had announced Saharan dust in the air and already on the trip to Walchensee, one of the deepest and largest alpine lakes in Germany, an intense dawn could be indicated.

The impressive pre-alpine landscape and the beauty of the Walchensee captivated me years ago, so I visit this magically beautiful place more often.

It has become a kind of "soul place" for me. After all, I took my first long photo tour here many years ago.

Arriving on the south-western bank, it didn't take long before the first dark clouds were illuminated in orange-reddish colors.

The intensity of the reddish tones increased minutely until the sky seemed to burn!

What a great spectacle of nature, the sky was in a complete frenzy of colors!

In the east one could already imagine the rising sun, only a few minutes until sunrise.

The cloud cover increased, the yellow-orange light became more and more intense, the tension increased.

Finally the sun appeared over the ridge, all of a sudden it radiated light and warmth explosively in all directions!

A wonderful light symphony appeared over the entire Lake Walchensee, which I listened in amazement while I continuously captured snapshots with my camera.

A spectacular daybreak that soon turned into a wonderful spring day in the Bavarian Prealps.
